Advent Devotions: Morning Prayer each day at 10am Mass.
Wedding Bells: Congratulations to Frank Quirke, Mocklerstown and Juanita Guidera, Loughtally who were married in St. Mary’s last Friday. We wish Frank and Juanita many years of married happiness and togetherness.
Carol Service: St. Mary’s Carol Service will take place on Sunday 16th December at 4pm. All most welcome.
Fund Raising: Thanks to Mary O’Gorman, Bridie O’Dwyer and Maria Cooke who organised the bake sale and raffle last Sunday to raise funds for the renovations of the Dome and Cross in our Church. Thanks also to Hickeys Bakery for donating some cakes and buns, they were much appreciated. They raised €385 from the bake sale. They have also sold over €200 in raffle tickets. Thanks to all who contributed to this venture. The raffle is ongoing and will be drawn on Saturday 22nd December. Prizes include a necklace from Rory O’Donohue’s ‘Spirit of Tipperary’ Collection, a Christmas Cake made by Alice Bates and many more items. Tickets are available from the Parish Office. We have a very long way to go, so please pop in and buy a few tickets. We were also very fortunate to receive a donation of €1000 towards the Dome and Cross. Thank you all again for your support.
Widows Association: Their next meeting will be on 18th December in the Friary Hall from 3pm to 5pm. A Christmas Party with Billy Fitzgerald, lovely music, free raffle and tea and cake. All welcome.
Commitment: Congratulations to the boys and girls from our Primary Schools who celebrated their commitment to prepare for the Sacrament of Confirmation which whey will receive next April. We can enable them to live out this commitment by our support of witness and prayer.
Legion of Mary: The Legion of Mary meet on Wednesday evenings in St. Mary’s Pastoral Centre, Irishtown at 7.30pm. A special appeal is being made for new members who will receive a warm welcome.
Crying Room Office/Shop: There are a small selection of Christmas items available in the Crying Room Office/Shop, Christmas Mass Bouquets are also available. Pop in and have a look.
