Envelope Distributors:  The Trócaire Boxes are now available  for distribution in the Crying Room Office.

We welcome into the Christian Faith Community of St Mary’s, James McGregor, we congratulate his parents James and Tracey.  We also welcome, Noah Rosseto, we congratulate his parents Rodrigo and Kayleigh.  Both were baptised last weekend.  We congratulate the godparents, grandparents and extended families.

World Day of Sick – Anointing and Blessing of Sick.  Sunday , the feast day of Our Lady of Lourdes is World Day of Sick.  We will have a ceremony of blessing and anointing of the sick in St Mary’s at 3.30pm.

Lent:  Lent begins next Wednesday, Ash Wednesday.  We will have blessing and distribution of Ashes at all Masses on Wednesday, (7.45am, 10.00am and 7.00pm).  During Lent, morning prayer will be recited at the 10.00am Mass.  There will be evening Mass at 7.00pm on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.  On Tuesday evenings at 7.00pm we will have Stations of the Cross.

Preparing for Easter during Lent:  Hearing, Happening, Hoping is a reading of a biblical text in the hope of meeting God!  Meeting God is something that happens in our lives, so what we’re doing is discovering THE ONE who is already there.  Starting Monday 12th February at 7.30pm in the Pastoral Centre, Irishtown for 5 weeks with Sr Theresa from the Presentation Convent.

National Coursing:  We welcome all who will visit our town this weekend for the Annual National Coursing festival.  We wish local owners the best of luck in the Oaks and Derby.

Stroke Friendship Club:  The Stroke friendship club meet every Tuesday for a cuppa and a chat in the Pastoral Centre, Irishtown from 2pm to 4pm.  Contact Maria for further info on 052 6122773
