Cake Sale:  Berna Dempsey is holding a Cake Sale in aid of “the porridge fund in Nairobi”.  Diane Chippo is a native of Nairobi and ten years ago a group from Ireland went to Nairobi and brought some money to buy porridge for children that walk a long distance to school with no breakfast.  They called it the porridge fund and the lady cooks porridge every day for the children before school begins.  Cakes will be on sale after 6.15pm Mass on 19th Nov and also after 10.30am Mass on Sunday 20th.  All enquires to Berna 0872178149.  If anybody would like to help out or provide some cakes we would be delighted.  Contact Berna.  All support is greatly appreciated.

Visit of Icon of Mother of Perpetual Help: It was great to see so many people responding to the visit of the Pilgrim Icon commemorating 150 years of this particular devotion.  On Thursday evening we had our Mass of welcome.  The Icon was carried up the Church by Charlotte Keane, Sally Quinlivan and Emily Kiely.

On Friday, the 10am Mass was celebrated by Bishop Cullinane.  At that Mass, our ‘102’ years young “Parishioner” John Walsh read the readings.

On Saturday at 3.00pm we had our ceremony of blessing and anointing of the sick.  Thanks to Noel Morrissey, John Healy, Carri Kenny of the Clonmel Deanery Committee of the Lourdes Diocesan Pilgrimage who coordinated the ceremony.

Thanks to all who helped in any way, Readers, Eucharistic Minister, Ushers, Sacristan, Eddie, Secretary, Caretaker and Mary Dempsey.

Special thanks to the Folk Choir who sang at our Thursday evening Mass.  Our Senior Choir who sang at the 10am Friday and 12 noon Sunday Masses and St Mary’s Primary School Choir who sang at the Sunday 10.30am Mass.
