Welcome: We welcome into the Christian Faith Community of St. Mary’s, Isabella McCarthy, who was christened last weekend. We congratulate her parents, Richard and Sandra, godparents, grandparents and extended family. We also welcome Aiden Matthew McCarthy, we congratulate his parents John and Samantha, godparents, grandparents and extended family. Welcome also to Niamh Louise Kennedy, congratulations to her parents Alan and Siobhan, godparents, grandparents and extended family.
Parish Clerks Collection: The Parish Clerk’s Collection will be taken up at all Masses this weekend. We are all aware of the invaluable work Eddie does. We are conscious of his dedication, commitment and loyalty to St Mary’s. He is a little treasure. We know you will be as generous as you always have been. Envelopes are ready in the Sacristy for distributors.
Blessing of Autism Unit at St Mary’s School: On Thursday the new unit for autistic children was blessed and officially opened. This new venture has been a tremendous support for the children and their families.
Exams: As the Exam season approaches we remember all in our Parish who are sitting their Junior Cert and Leaving Cert exams. As a Parish they will be uppermost in or prayers. For the period of the Exams we will have our Exam Candle burning in the Church at all our Masses.
Parade: A major Parade will take place in Clonmel this Bank Holiday Monday, 6th June in conjunction with the unveiling of a Monument honouring the 43 Clonmel Volunteers who mobilised during Easter Week 1916. The Parade will depart from Irishtown at 2.30pm arriving at the Borstal Gate, Emmet Street where the Monument will be unveiled. Your support for this historic event would be greatly appreciated.
Wedding Bells: Congratulations to Shane Hartnett, O’Connell Terrace and Nicole Freaney, Ballingarrane North who were married in Malaga, Spain recently. We wish the young couple many years of happiness and togetherness.
Divine Mercy Devotions: The Divine Mercy Devotions are celebrated every Friday at 3pm. Special Divine Mercy Mass , last Friday of the month. Any enquiries to Divine Mercy Sp. Director : Fr Cyprian.
Padre Pio Prayer Group: Meet the 1st Monday of each month, that is Monday 6th June. Rosary and prayers at 6.30pm. Mass at 7pm for all petitions placed in the basket on the alter. All are welcome.
Month Medugorje Mass: The monthly Medugorje Mass will take place at Rosminian House of Prayer, Kilsheelan on Thurs 9th June at 8pm with Rosary, Holy Mass and Prayers for Healing. All welcome.
Hospital: Sometimes when a parishioner is in hospital, we are not aware of it. We would be only too glad and willing to visit our sick in hospitals or Nursing Homes if we are aware of it. Please inform us.
Annual Grotto Mass: The annual grotto mass at Edel Quinn Shrine, Old Bridge, Clonmel will take place on Bank Holiday Monday, 6th June at 11am.
Midsummer Concert: On Friday 10th June at 8pm, Cuan Saor Women’s Refuge will be holding a Midsummer Concert in St Mary’s Church, Irishtown. Programme includes, St Mary’s Choir, The Gordonaires, Banna Cluain Meala, Cor Eaglis Choir and Soloist Yvonne Murphy. Tickets are €10 and are available from Premier Music and Marians Bookshop on O’Connell Street.
Annual Mass: The annual Mass at St Patrick’s Well will take place on Thursday 23rd June at 7.30pm. All welcome.
