Padre Pio Prayer Group: Meet each month on the first Monday. Next meeting Monday 4th March 2019. Rosary and prayers at 6.30pm. Mass at 7pm for all petitions placed on the Altar. All are welcome.
Sunday 3rd March: Day of Prayer for Temperance
Wednesday: Ash Wednesday: Beginning of Lent. Blessing and distribution of Ashes at all Masses today 7.45am, 10am and 7pm. Day of Fast and abstinence—a day when we curtail our intake of food and abstain from meat.
Lenten Devotions
- Morning Prayer will be recited at the 10am Mass each day
- Tuesdays of Lent: Stations of the Cross at 7.00pm
- Masses during Lent: Mon, Tues & Thurs 7.45am & 10am. Wednesday & Friday 7.45am, 10am and 7pm.
Wedding Bells: Congratulations to John Barrett, Waterford and Sarah Prendergast, Pinewood Drive, Kilmacomma who were married in St. Mary’s last Friday. We wish John and Sarah many years of married happiness and togetherness.
Baptisms: Change of Times for the 1st Saturday’s of the month. The time for Baptisms on the first Saturday of the month will be at 3.30pm. For the other Saturdays it is 4.30pm. The reason for the first Saturday change is that the Polish Community will have a Mass in Polish every first Saturday of the month at 4.30pm.
Scripture Reflection For Lent: A meeting to reflect on the Lenten readings will take place in the Pastoral Centre . Staring on Thursday 7th March at 7.45pm and each Thursday after until Easter. All welcome. Facilitated by Sr. Teresa Walsh.
Ministers of the Eucharist: Date for your diary. There will be a meeting for out Ministers of the Eucharist and anyone who would like to become a minister on Monday the 11th March at 7.30pm in the Pastoral Centre.
Envelope Distributors: The Trocaire Boxes have arrived and are available in the Crying Room Office. Please call in and collect them.
Legion of Mary: The Legion of Mary meet on Wednesday evenings in St. Mary’s Pastoral Centre, Irishtown at 7.30pm. A special appeal is being made for new members who will receive a warm welcome.
Do this in Memory: First Communion: A meeting of the Parents Co-Ordinating committee will take place next Wednesday, Ash Wednesday in Parochial House at 7.45am.
First Penance: The First Penance ceremony for the Gaelscoil takes place at 7.30pm.
