Storm Emma
Last week the weather was certainly unprecedented, which resulted in our churches closing for a time during the snow and some day’s after to facilitate the clean up operation. We are so grateful to John Corry and Mark Hampshire who did so much to clear the paths and walkways in very difficult conditions, and also to the local county council who assisted in clearing paths. While we did our best, we did have to cancel the Friday and Saturday evening Masses and Sunday Morning in the Church of the Resurrection due to the fact that the roadway in was so bad. There was also snow lying on the roof which was in danger of falling down, so your safety was of course paramount.
All booked Masses and baptisms have now been rescheduled, and again, thank you to everyone in our whole community and the emergency services who helped out in so many ways.
God could not be everywhere, and therefore he made mothers.

A Prayer for Mothers
All-loving God, we give you thanks and praise for mothers young and old. We pray for young mothers, May they be blessed with patience and tenderness to care for their families and themselves with great joy.
We pray for our own mothers who have nurtured and cared for us; May they continue to guide us in strong and gentle ways.
We remember mothers who are separated from their children because of war, poverty, or conflict; May they feel the loving embrace of our God who wipes every tear away.
We pray for women who are not mothers but still love and shape us with motherly care and compassion.
We remember mothers, grandmothers, and great-grandmothers who are no longer with us but who live forever in our memory and nourish us with their love. Amen.
Happy Mothers Day!
Dignity Pack Project Appeal – Clonmel Rotary Club
Clonmel Rotary in conjunction with Clonmel Community Soup Kitchen have been distributing Dignity Packs to those sleeping rough since before Christmas and our stocks are now almost exhausted.
The packs contain essential personal hygiene items including soap, shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant, wipes, toilet paper, sanitary towels, toothbrushes, combs etc. Any donation towards filling the packs would be greatly appreciated and the
collection point will be in the Tipperary County Museum, Mick Delahunty Square, Clonmel (beside the swimming pool ) next week from Tuesday 13th to Friday 16th of March.
This is a very worthwhile project especially now when rough sleepers are facing extremely challenging conditions and need our support. Thank you in advance for your support.
