Saint Pio Prayer Group: Meet the first Monday of the month, that is 2nd October, Rosary and prayers at 6.30pm. Mass at 7pm for all petitions placed on the Altar. All are very welcome.
The envelopes for the Autumn Collection are now available for distributors in the Crying Room Office. The Autumn collection will be taken up at all Masses on Saturday7th and Sunday 8th of October.
World Meeting of Families: Training night for people wishing to act as Parish Preparation Co-ordinators will be held in Hotel Minella on Thursday 5th October at 7.00pm.
First Friday: Next Friday, Communion to the sick and housebound.
First Saturday: Reconciliation at 10am Mass.
Birthday Wishes to Darragh Egan, one of our Altar Servers at the 12.00 Sunday Mass who celebrated his 12th Birthday last Monday.
We welcome into the Christian Faith Community of St Mary’s, Isabelle Sophia Bove who was baptised last weekend. We congratulate her parents Jack and Danielle, godparents, grandparents and extended family.
All-Ireland Champions: Congratulations to the Tipperary Intermediate ladies football team who won the All-Ireland title in Croke Park last Sunday. Two of our parishioners, Anna Carey, Irishtown and Niamh Lonergan, Loughtally were on the Panel. Two past students of Gaelscoil, Aine Fitzgerald and Gilian O’Brien were also on the panel. Anna Carey is also a past pupil of the Gaelscoil. Aine’s mother, Karen is principal of the Gaelscoil.
Wedding Bells: Congratulations to Edward Buck and Yvonne Dennehy who were married in St Mary’s last Saturday. We wish Ed and Yvonne many years of married happiness and togetherness.
Fatima Triduum: Our Fatima Centenary celebration went very well last weekend. Thanks to all who attended and participated. Special thanks to Fr Ailbe O’Reilly who led us in our liturgies. We wish him every blessing and success in his work of promoting the message of Fatima.
John Paul II Awards
The John Paul II awards were instituted by the Dromore Diocese to promote and recognise young peoples involvement in Parish and Community life. It is now established in our Diocese. This year 11 young girls, Charlotte Keane, Nicola Plescakj, Haley Plescakh, Ellie Mackey, Rebecca Prendergast, Sally Quilivan, Saoirse Gavin, Fionnuala Hoctor, Shannon Looby, Lauren Quigley and Orla Adamson will receive their Golden award for their involvement with the Children’s Liturgy at our 10.30am Sunday Mass. David O’Callaghan and Tony Murray will also receive the Gold Award for their services as Assistant Sacristans and Eucharistic Ministers. We say well done. We hope and pray you will remain involved in the Parish and the development of your faith.
