Welcome: We welcome into the Christian Faith Community of St Mary’s, Saoirse Grace Farrugia-Burke who was christened last weekend.  We congratulate her parents Kevin and Jessica, godparents, grandparents and extended family.  We also welcome Mikey O’Regan who was christened last weekend, we congratulate his parents, Evan and Emma, godparents, grandparents and extended family.

Mass of Thanksgiving:  Eucharistic Adoration has recently undergone a highly successful renewal in our Parish.  As a result of this, over 70 people have now made a long term commitment to an hour of Adoration each Tuesday.  This core-group, along with the many people who come for shorter visits throughout the day, will become a powerhouse of prayer at the heart of our Parish, and we are certain that the good effects of this will become apparent in time, as they have in other Parishes in Ireland and indeed throughout the world.  Fr Billy wishes, on his own behalf and on behalf of the whole Parish and its Priests, to express his gratitude and good wishes to all those who contributed to the success of the renewal.  A Mass of Thanksgiving to celebrate the success of this renewal will take place on Wednesday 23rd November at 7pm, in conjunction with the usual Mass in honour of Our Lady of Perpetual Help.  All those involved in Eucharistic Adoration, along with family and friends, are warmly invited to attend.

ESB Power Cut:  Last Sunday from 10am to 4pm, the ESB were carrying out repairs on the line in Irishtown which necessitated the cutting off of the supply.  Initially when informed by the ESB there was consternation in the Sacristy—no lights, no heat, no PA system, no power for organ.  A knight in shining armour stepped forward in the person of Ger Ryan Electrical, who installed and connected a generator, which insured a supply of power for our celebrations.  Thanks a million Ger.

Crying Room Office/Shop:  There is a small selection of Christmas Items available in the Crying Room Office/Shop.  Christmas Mass Bouquets and various other Mass Bouquets are also available.  Please pop in and have a look.  Open Monday—Friday at 10am Mass and Weekends at Vigil Mass and Sunday Masses.

Cake Sale:  Berna Dempsey is holding a Cake Sale in aid of “the porridge fund in Nairobi”.  Cakes will be on sale after 10.30am Mass on Sunday 20th.  All enquires to Berna 0872178149.  If anybody would like to help out or provide some cakes we would be delighted.  Contact Berna.  All support is greatly appreciated.

Birthday Wishes:  Birthday wishes are extended this week to Jack Somers, who celebrated a significant milestone on his journey of life.  We wish Jack many more years of health and happiness, when we can enjoy his larger than life bubbly presence.

St Mary’s 32nd Annual Lourdes Pilgrimage 2017: On Saturday evenings after the 6.15 Vigil Mass, the Lourdes Committee will be available in the Crying Room to take names and deposits for those wishing to travel on our 32nd Annual Pilgrimage to Lourdes 2017.
