Ministry to the Sick/ Nursing Homes : Mass at Melview Nursing Home. Sacrament of anointing of the sick on request. Sacrament of Holy Communion every First Friday.
Sacrament of Baptism: 5pm on the First Saturday of the month in Ss. Peter & Pauls and on the third
Saturday in the Resurrection.
Sacrament of Marriage: Consult with one of the Priests to secure a date. Church and State Require at least 3 months notice.
Pre Marriage Course: It is strongly recommended to partake in a Pre marriage course organised by ACCORD (Catholic

“Signposts on the Road to Emmaus” Exploring the Mass
A four night programme entitled ‘Signposts on the Road to Emmaus’ Exploring the Mass will begin on March 14th in the Park Hotel, Dungarvan.
The programme will continue on 21st and 28th March and 4th April. It is designed for anyone who would like to find out more about the Mass parishioners, member of parish pastoral councils, liturgy teams, etc.
Sessions are as follows:
1. We gather in the footsteps of Christ (Gathering)
2. Christ speaks to us in the Scriptures today (Word)
3. Christ is our Host (Eucharist)
4. We are sent to become what we have received (Dismissal)

UPDATE ON FR. COLM O’BRIEN’S CAUSE
Our thanks to the very large numbers present, for being with us and for their openness and sharing which made this such a positive and uplifting experience, for all present at the gathering in Hotel Minella in November.
As outlined on the evening, this is very much the start of an exploratory process, which can take considerable time.
For those present who indicated a willingness be contacted further in this regard, we expect to be in a position to follow up on this in the spring. For those who were unable to be with us but would like to be part of the ongoing process please contact Fr Michael Toomey on 052-6123239 or in SS Peter & Paul’s Parish Office.
In addition, we will issue general updates on progress, as the process develops.
The ongoing support and assistance of all who came to know and love Fr. Colm is very welcome and very much appreciated.

Freely giving Lord, teach me to be generous, to serve you as you deserve, to give and not to count the cost, to fight and not to heed the wounds, to toil and not to seek for rest, to labour and not to seek reward, save that of knowing that I do your holy will.
The ‘Prayer for Generosity’, which many of us learned as children, is associated with St Ignatius Loyola, founder of the Jesuit Order, yet it is unclear whether he actually composed it. One of the earliest references to it comes from 1910, when it began to be used as a prayer for the French scouting movement. To this day it is often known as “The Scout Prayer” and is used by many Scout groups as a blueprint for the work they do.
The prayer perfectly sums up the generous spirit of the many volunteer organisations and charities whose members give their time and energy so freely and generously to help others. There are thousands of volunteers all over our country who put love into action by visiting those who are lonely, listening to those who are struggling, providing food and other supplies for those in need, and fundraising for all sorts of worthy causes. Week in and week out, they give without ever counting the cost.
These volunteers are living the message of today’s Gospel, which can be summed up in one short sentence: Go the extra mile. Thank you, Lord, for volunteers. Make us ever more generous with our time, energy and resources. Help us to be compassionate, as you are compassionate Tríona Doherty

First Friday
Next Friday, 1st March is the First Friday of the month, a day when we bring Holy Communion to the sick and housebound of our parish. Contact one of the priests or the Parish Shop 61 22138 or 61 29404 if you or someone you know needs a call.
We need to find God, and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature – trees, flowers, grass- grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence… We need silence to be able to touch souls. Mother Teresa
Family Day at Glencomeragh House
Holy Family Mission, Glencomeragh House in Kilsheelan, invite you to their Family Day on Sunday March 3rd from 10am to 3pm. The day will include Mass, music, drama, and input for parents and led activities for children of all ages. Lunch will be provided and all are welcome!
