Meeting
A meeting of the Marlfield Village committee takes place on Monday night the 12th March in the Clubhouse at 8pm. The work plan for the coming year is one of the agenda items along with the recovery works needed to address the storm Ophelia damage to the built environment. Please pass on time and date of meeting to all concerned.
Sponsorship
The Village Committee has secured sponsorship of two native Cherry trees to replace the mature pair that was uprooted in the recent storm. The roots have to be grubbed out and soil obtained to fill the holes in preparation for replanting. There is a job of work to be done before the trees are planted and as usual a work party will tackle this in the ever lengthening evenings.
New Tus Worker.
The Marlfield Village Committee welcomes Gerard Delaney to our Tus schemes. Gerard is a man skilled in the use of the trowel and hammer and we have plenty of work for him. He has started on repairing the damaged wall in the St Patrick’s Chapel Avenue and once that task is completed he has a baker’s dozen of jobs to pick from.
