CHRISTMAS POINSETTIAS
Once again this year , our Pope John Paul II students will be selling poinsettias in memory of a loved one, or for intentions of family and friends. Poinsettias will be placed in the sanctuary area to decorate the church for Christmas. You can call into the parish office (or the sacristy in the Church of the Resurrection) or to one of the students after Mass in the coming weeks, and fill out a card for your intentions, this card is then placed into an individual poinsettia and placed in the sanctuary area. The cost of each poinsettia and intention card is 10 and all proceeds go directly to the Church Renovation Fund and to the Pope John Paul II Award. Thank you in advance for supporting this idea, and helping decorate our churches for Christmas and also supporting our renovation and award funds.

Fr Ronan Drury RIP
Fr Brendan and Fr Michael ask you to pray for the repose of the soul of Fr Ronan Drury who died on Thursday. Fr Drury, a priest in the diocese of Meath was professor of homiletics in St Patricks College Maynooth for over 60 years. He taught both Fr Brendan and Fr Michael as well as thousands of priests including many in our own diocese, and both Bishop Lee and Bishop Cullinan. He continued in his priestly ministry until very recently, in his 94th year. He was a good and faithful servant.
May he rest in peace.
