Last Saturday evening after the Vigil Mass we held our annual Corpus Christi Procession. Thanks to all who helped and participated. Thanks to James Joseph who led the Procession, his son Joseph James who carried the special Umbrella. Thanks to Jim Connolly, Tomasz Cymerys, Andrew Conlon, Kevin Barry and Stephen Cooney who carried the canopy in the procession. Thanks to Valerie Taylor who marshalled the First Communion children as a colour party. Special thanks to Sgt. Kieran O’Regan and Genna Grogan who acted as stewards and accompanied us with the squad car on our route.
School Holidays: This week all our young people will begin their summer holidays. The Secondary School Exam pupils will just have completed their exams. They deserve a little break and we wish them well in the future. The Primary schools are beginning their holidays this week. We wish them a happy and safe vacation and look forward to meeting them all again next September refreshed and enthusiastic. The teachers also need a break. Teaching is an intense occupation that can drain a person intellectually, physically and emotionally. Teachers, enjoy your break. It will help you recharge your batteries.
Eddie, our Sacristan would like to say a big thank you to all who returned their clerk envelopes, he really appreciates your generosity. Anyone who has not returned their envelope, it is not too late to do so.
Congratulations to Anne Marie O’Rioran, Toberaheena and Bryan Halpin who were married in St Mary’s Cathedral, Killarney last week. We wish the young couple many years of happiness and togetherness.
