Silver Jubilee: On Thursday, Fr Pat celebrated the Silver Jubilee of his ordination to the Priesthood. We wish Fr Pat many more years of health, happiness and ministry. We thank him for his great sense of dedication and commitment during his years here in St Mary’s with us. His classmate, Fr Bobby Power, Ardfinnan, and who was also here in St Mary’s celebrated his Silver Jubilee last week.
Fr Cyprian: Fr Cyprian has been appointed as Chaplain to the Little Sisters of the Poor, Ferrybank, Waterford. We wish him health, happiness and fulfilment in his new ministry. We will miss him here in St Mary’s. He was beginning to settle in and find his feet. Fr Gregory is a resident in St Joseph’s, Ferrybank, so I am sure he and Fr Cyprian will have many memories to recall and celebrate. We thank Fr Cyprian for his great courage and dedication in what must have been a difficult time for him in his life as he tried to adjust to a new culture, food-experience and language. We thank Fr Cyprian for his evangelising work in our Parish and town and his devotion to the Apostolate of Divine Mercy and the Legion of Mary.
