Monday 27th February at 7pm: On Monday evening at 7.00pm in St Mary’s Church, Fr Jim and Dana will lead us in an evening of prayer and Adoration. Feel free to come along – whether regular Church goes or not. This may be a time, a moment of grace for you when you find peace, direction in life and light in your troubled life and dark world. Umbra Clothing Appeal: Clothing collection on behalf of Fr Nicholas Ngulutu of St Josephs Parish, Kavisuni, Diocese of Kitui, Kenya. All types of clean ladies, gents and children’s clothing and paired shoes. Collection on Tuesday 28th February before 12 noon from Church Gate Door. All donations greatly appreciated
Friday 24th February: Divine Mercy Devotions in St Mary’s Church celebrates 1 year. Divine Mercy Devotions at 2.30pm with Mass at 3pm. New members welcome.
Wednesday 1st March—Ash Wednesday: A day of fasting and abstinence, the beginning of Lent. There will be Blessing of the Ashes at 7.45am, 10am and 7pm.
County Champion: Congratulations to young Michael Carey, Irishtown who won the County Novice Road Championships last Sunday in Moyne.
Welcome: We welcome into the Christian Faith Community of St Mary’s, Maisie Marie Gavigan who was christened last week. We congratulate her parents Declan and Stephanie, godparents, grandparents and extended family. We also welcome Michael Anthony O’Brien, we congratulate his parents, Keith and Natasha, godparents, grandparents and extended family.
St Mary’s Lourdes Pilgrimage 2017: This year’s Pilgrimage takes place on 4th –10th August. Cost is €745pps. Costs includes return coach fare to Cork Airport, flights, city tax and accommodation. Anyone who would like to book a place, please see Jim Connolly after the 6.15pm Vigil on Saturday at the Crying Room at the back of the Church.
Confirmations 2017: The young boys and girls who are preparing to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation will be formally accepted as candidates next Sunday at the 10.30am Mass. Let us remember them in our prayers.
